Our Experts

Flooring & More Carpet One started in 1964 as the retail outlet for Columbus Mills, Inc. located right next door on River Road in Columbus, Georgia. Because of its affiliation with the mill, the store originally conducted business under the name "Columbus Carpet Mill Store," a name the store kept even after adding a more diversified product line including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile and rugs. In fact, the store's physical facility has expanded to 12,000 square feet of showroom and office space plus an 18,000 square foot warehouse to support the breadth of the current product offerings.  We are now a part of Carpet One Floor & Home, the nation's largets flooring retailer, offering solutions for every flooring need.  Our staff is constantly training and learning new products so that we can provide our customers with the best possible selection and service.

What makes working here so much fun for me is the opportunity to help people with something special…their home. I think it's very, very important to educate customers on different flooring so they can make the best choice for their lifestyle. I have made a lot of good

Al and his wife Barbara purchased the Columbus Carpet Mill Store in February 2008 and have worked diligently since to educate themselves and the public about the many choices and options available in flooring today. Don has been proudly serving floor covering customers in the Columbus area since 1991. He invites you to allow him the opportunity to handle all of your floor covering needs at Flooring & More Carpet One.

According to Don, and we think he is right, "You are sure to receive professional service, value and quality products which will be remembered long after low prices (which are not necessarily the best value) are forgotten."

Becky Mirabella
Product Manager
Becky's love for color and design came at a very young age. While her friends were dressing their Barbie & Ken for a big date, Becky was decorating Barbie's house. She made her own furniture and bedding. Old carpet samples became Barbie's bedroom. She hated the VCT floors in her own bedroom and always dreamed of lush thick carpets and glossy slick wood floors. Well, Becky grew up and……..she still enjoys making her customers happy, meeting their needs with the best flooring choice

Steve Norman

A Columbus native, I have been in the flooring business for over 40 years, a large part of which was at the old family owner Norman and Storey Floor Covering on 12th Avenue (I literally grew up in this business).

I enjoy golf and fishing with my wife and friends, but keeping the grandkids on Friday nights has always been special. I attended CSU and Auburn University where I graduated with a degree in education. I work hard at obtaining commercial and industrial contracts with local and region
